My Take

Legends of the Fall is a movie that I’ve been wanting to watch for a long time, and just now had the opportunity to watch. While I can’t agree with Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski, who said that Legends of the Fall was his favorite movie of all time, but it was a very good film. The acting was very good. I thought Anthony Hopkins was the best. I am also a fan of Brad Pitt and he does a great job as usual. It’s just my luck that I happened to watch two extremely sad movies in a row. I will not go into detail, but you will not be cheering and laughing in this movie. It is over twenty years old and it is noticeable especially in the war scenes, but it doesn’t really detract from the over all movie. Entertaining story, albeit sad, and good directing with great acting equals a very solid movie.

Should You Watch???

Most definitely. There are some sexual situations, but they don’t show much. If you’re a youngster, you might need to close your eyes a couple times, but this is a must watch for everybody else.
